Beloved, I Shall Come To You… Poem by Bharat Trivedi

Beloved, I Shall Come To You…

Rating: 5.0

When
the glorious golden orb sinks in the torrents
and flowing moon shines like a silver plaque,
When zephyr plays with your lustrous locks
and you drowse, soaked in your own lavender scent,
Beloved, I shall come to you…

When dollops of smile scoop into cones of tears
and hues of rainbow overflow from heavenly downpours
When pot of gold melts in the distant horizon
and your henna-tinted hand beckons me
Beloved, I shall come to you…

When night dawns and day snores
stars lay still in the frozen skies.
When you shiver on winter-frosted sheets, and
my sunny thoughts wrap you in hugs of warm blanket
Beloved, I shall come to you…

When dusk slowly opens its dark doors
lamps go out and eyes glow
When death disguised in silky black robes
plants a kiss (of death) on my parched lips,
Beloved, I shall come to you…

When words flow like a clear stream
to merge with titanic sentences,
when waterfall of stanzas cascade into the ocean of chapters
and turn into volume of tearful reams
Beloved, I shall come to you…
