Beloved, Rescue Me Poem by Jamie Ellen Christian

Beloved, Rescue Me

The riptides of love
grabs at all our feet
Spinning us in circles
far beyond the beach

Grasping for air
as the sea of affection
begins to fill our lungs
We can't breath
I can't breath

Opening our eyes
under the water of blinding adoration
blurry our vision becomes
We can't see
I can't see

Struggling to the top
trying to find our way
Dizzy from the fight to the surface of intimacy
We can't reach our lover
We can't touch
I can't touch, I can't find you

Floating on the waves
Sun beaten by the rays of passion
So vulnerable we truly are
Hoping, praying, it's our beloved who saves us
Rescues us
Rescue Me
I will drowned without you
