Bent Poem by David Blake

Bent

Somewhere between where I am and should
be I find solace in what used to be. Naked
alone in the dark your smile is more than I
can stand. Scared of being put back
together I can’t sleep, painting pictures in
shades of purple and gray. Braking into
pieces that aren’t meant to every be rejoined
you touch me and I no longer lament but still
don’t understand.

Your first line is superb. As is 'I no longer lament but still don't understand' The rest, though a little messy, gets your message across loud and clear. You share your vulnerability with originality and sensitivity. I'd like to read more. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
