Berry And Cheri Poem by Megan Ryan

Berry And Cheri

Berry Bunny loved to play in the sun
He loved to frolic amongst the flowers
He came across a feathery fellow
Whose name was Cheri the Canary
He greeted Berry with a chirp
Thus the seed of friendship was planted.

Hours they waltzed through a sea of petals
Nibbled on the branches of a nearby apple tree
Zig zagged tag through the forest
After a day of fun, they sat on an old log
On the biggest hill they could find.

Watching the sun wave goodbye
As the moon greeted the world
With a cloak of stars
That tucked the light to bed.

What a fun day it has been
What a joyful adventure it was
A day to remember, but one to treasure
For Berry the Bunny had found a friend.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired by a cute and funny idea I had when I noticed a rabbit-eared strawberry in a batch of strawberries mom bought from the store. So I decided to take my phone and take some pictures even of the strawberry next to a bouquet of flowers and a canary decoration- which inspired this cute poem. :)
