If you ever think that you’ll never beat.
All that people expect you to meet.
When you wonder what tomorrow will bring.
And you understand that you’ll never get everything.
I hope that you’ll never see that day.
But I’ll be beside you, all the way.

If ever pain fills your heart.
And it stabs at you like a dart.
If it fills you body with so much hurt.
I’m always here and ever alert.
I hope you realize it’ll be ok.
Because I’m beside you all the way

And when you get old and your strength is gone.
When you understand your almost done.
When its time to go away.
Don’t be fearful of that day.
Because in that box you may lay.
With me beside you, all the way.
