Best Friends Poem by Aya Baradie

Best Friends

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I look at my best friend and wonder.
I wonder who their best friend was before I took their place.
Was it also 'them against the world'?
Maybe they fought a lot, and maybe they kissed a lot, or maybe they just drifted apart slowly to realize one day that they were now strangers
I do believe that someday my best friend and I aren't going to be close anymore.
I mean everything does come to an end.
Then I realize that all of that doesn't really matter because right now.. Right now we're close.
There's still hundreds of suspenseful movies to watch, hours to spend at the library together, tons of guys to get excited over seeing and new roller coasters to ride and that is good enough.
And even if we end up becoming strangers someday and our adventures come to an end, it's only to make way for new people in our lives that are going to make you laugh, cry and take your breath away.
That's the beauty of life and it is worth it.
