Perhaps, one day, if all goes well,
Good government will come,
Creating Heaven and not Hell,
For all, not just for some,
With leaders who deserve acclaim,
And lovers of the truth,
And not just those who dream of fame,
As those do in their youth.
A government where wisdom guides,
No trace of vanity,
No politician taking sides,
Just doing what must be.
No bribes, no scams, no ill-laid schemes,
No hint of selfish gains,
No half-baked plans then broken dreams,
Then everyone complains.
Perhaps, one day, if all goes well,
Good government will come,
Creating Heaven and not Hell,
For all, not just for some.
