Bethlehem Poem by James Papastamos

Bethlehem

The star of David filled the sky
with shades of light to shadow why;
Such thoughts for one to be
the mother of God. What more to say?

A lonely cave in Bethlehem
that marked its place in history;
Much expectation, little time
Deliverance! Infinity!

A Christ conceived, a God was born
the star of David kindled fire;
To burn the chill of afterthought
a guiding light we'd all admire.
