Betraying The Nation Poem by mitesh dotasara

Betraying The Nation

Rating: 5.0

I WAS SAFE, I WAS OUT
OUT OF MY COUNTRY, FAR AWAY
A PLACE WITH NO ONE AROUND
I WAS LOST, NOT TO BEING FOUND
SEARCHING A NEW HIDE
UNDER THE STAR OF DARKEST NIGHT
SILENCE NEAR, TOO FEAR THE END
IT WAS ALL GOING TO BE
IT WAS IT THE BEGINNING OF WORLD WAR

UNDER THE SHADE, OVER THE SAND
MADE A SUDDEN SMILE
MEMORIZING THE PAST WHICH WAS NOT MINE
MY BODY FROSTED AND SOUL THRILLED
GRIEF ROLLED DOWN MY EYES
FOR NOTHING WAS LEFT BEHIND
STILL, I WAS RUNNING FOR LIFE
I WAS NOT ALIVE, NOR I WANTED TO DIE
I AM A LOSER, MORE THAN A TERRORIST INSIDE
BETRAYING THE NATION, MURDERING MY SELF

HOPING FOR PEACE, WANTED A CHANCE
MADE A U-TURN, HEADING TOWARDS THE COUNTRY AT STATE
TO THE COUNTRY
WHICH IS NOW TO BE KNOWN IN HISTORY

This is a very moving poem. Be part of the solution. Become a nation builder with your poetry. The pen is mightier than the sword.
