Better Man Poem by Ragy Sandid

Better Man

I once knew a man
A man who stood tall
I once knew a man
A man who wasn't small

I once knew a man
Who didn't measure intention
If anything was measured
Action was his dimension

I once knew a man
Who knew what to say
When the sea got rough
Or the wind stayed at bay

I once knew that man
From whom I needed good advice
I couldn't get it from anywhere
Except from the man who knew
For each of life's slice a price

The man I knew
Is silhouetted in another man
The better one is hard to see through
That's the one I want, if I can.
