Better Without Her Poem by Chukwutoby Atusiuba

Better Without Her

Rating: 5.0

As she walked out, I knew it was all over
All we had long shared gone in one waver
It was uncanny of me to feel what I felt
But now I know there is nothing worse than been left

As I sat and wept
Deep down I knew it was for the Best
Her love though sweet and kind
Left me feeling like I lost my mind

As I thought of how we meet
It dawned on me it was all a mess
Like a fool I went down her lane
Now I know was not the best way

Her love was bitter sweet
Like sweet sorrow it felt so lit
Now I know it was all a faze
To pull me down from my grace

As I sat there thinking to myself
I knew I was better all by myself
I am better without her, fam
Her love caused me so much harm

Beautiful depiction of distress in the bliss of love, elegantly brought forth from the heart with conviction. A lovely poem, well articulated and nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with insight. Thanks for sharing Toby and welcome to Poemhunter. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
