Between My Heart And Mind Poem by Didier Sixte Kahungu

Between My Heart And Mind

Between my heart and mind

There she lives
And ignite my senses, she does so by the thought of her

Between my heart and mind, and closest both
Between my flesh and blood, but made of neither one.

The senseless stream of her love through me
That`s deafened by the silent and shy intentions
Hears both but listens to none.

Between two half roads
Where unity is the key for survival
Either left to the devouring canines of solitude
Or Right into the one-eyed tenderness of friendship.

Between a will and impossibility
There she lays
Where no bait captures the way to the heavenly gate
And no prayer lightens the path to a smile
Just hope to heal the wounds of unattainable dreams
The dreams made by a second of joy that eternity cant bear.

Between a dream and a smile
Where the bridge of risk stands higher than both
Though longer than neither one,
There lives my tremplin.

Between a prayer and the answer,
I choose you.
