Day Begins At Midnight Poem by Didier Sixte Kahungu

Day Begins At Midnight

Though still dark....the sun has risen

And at dawn, day is seen, then ordinary man believes

And earth realises that it cannot withhold the heavenly

Faith sees day at midnight, then I prepare my testimony

Love me when its dark
And with you I will share my sun

Love me when it's spark
And your winter won't stand my furnace

Love me in fear and in psalms

Love me in rhyme and in length

Love me in shackles and in soaring

Love me in storm and in valleys

Love me in doubt and in plenty

Love me in egypt and in canaan

Love me in promise and in faith

Love my midnight
And my pen will ink your name when it is dawn
