Between Uncertainty And Still Waters Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Between Uncertainty And Still Waters

This is not a conducive place to occupy
Offering both hope and hopelessness
Glimpses of joy and sorrow
All wrapped under the same veil of mystery
A monument of mercy and a tomb of tears
Closely intertwined mysteries that surround my life
A sharp knife that stabs the fiber of being
Or a ray of light that awakens the spirit
Between uncertainty and still waters
I stand surrounded by gusts of wind
And enveloped by the Silence within
Like a capsule of life that is swallowed in haste
I am consumed by the fear of the unknown
At the same time illuminated by the rays of hope
Between uncertainty and still waters
I refuse to listen to the sounds of hopelessness
Fusing my being with the stillness of eternity
I am a fortified beacon of hope
A river that is submerged in stillness and refuses to be awakened from its slumber
My body, mind and soul are united in their quest
The summit of my being is a place of faith, hope and Love
Between uncertainty and still waters
I choose the pedestal of hope to be my companion
