Beyond Blessed Bounds Poem by John Sensele

Beyond Blessed Bounds

Silence staggers pomposity pushed
Beyond bounds deemed dastardly dim
In circles, symposia and surroundings brushed
Aside assemblies, inside coteries, outside a ride a bride and her groom deem

Too hallowed to allow
Chicanery and buffoonery to rear
Lack of etiquette to plow
Charades and unglad fear and beer

To usurp fanfare from a rare fair
Where luminaries gather beyond preliminaries
To bring bride and groom in an air
Filled with anticipation and fascination

To conclude through creed ceremonies
In which matrimony marches majestically
To its apex to vex disharmonies
As the master of ceremonies cedes pride of place to stakeholders finally.
