The Mall displays bright colours
And within it a multitude of persons travel
flowing past me, chatting and
dressed in their greatest of clothes
Suddenly, the tiled floors rise and bulge
Cracks form about us, with water creeping
out, out of the concrete wrecks now shoved upwards
The people are now screaming louder
And the water is rushing out, faster then
before, a slowed implosion
as if it was a doom forecasted by beings
bigger than the night and their
Terror
Mouths open and with panicked eyes, they clamour at each other, at me,
But the water goes on faster, faster, higher
Sweeping out the light fixtures, drowning out the advertisements
washing away the din
And I sink into a nice, perfectly murky universe.
