The world was as you said
I looked behind to the flowers
and winds travelling in trees bowed,
forced in position, lower
than a stooped woman, a spider
glowed as the day fled
from the skin of a leaf,
the world becoming reddened
by the sinking of the sun
a vast and rosy covered body
warmed with the steam of heavenly hearths as
all of the Earth's citizens at such a moment
The glowering of the day leaves us a tremble
periwinkle hues take charge beside the earth
and we trail back to the meadows
to our escarpments, our home
made of sandstone, the world
woven in a cloth of silence,
a spectrum of loves
