Beyond What We See Poem by Sierra Evans

Beyond What We See

Rating: 3.0

Watch, as the moon kisses the sun;
Goodnight, so gently.
Listen, as the stars sing their shining lullaby.
Forgive me, if I fade away into a world with only you, and I;
For tonight I dream of pleasant things, of roses and butterfly wings.
I wonder how the world can be so hateful, if there's another world beyond what we see?
If the heavens are truly among us, when we look into space.
Is it there that we go?
Look at me, as my mind dances into the impossible chances.
Wake me if I am dreaming, of wondrous things.
Ask me how the world can be so hateful, if there's another world;
Beyond what we see?
Won't you close your eyes, open your mind and fly away with me?
There's a better place; at least,
that's what they say it to be.
