POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem after reading the Bible from cover to cover as a young boy, and being shocked by the things commanded and condoned by Jehovah and his prophets: slavery, infanticide, matricide, ethnic cleansing, genocide, the stoning of children for misdemeanors, etc.
