Bird I Hear Your Drawl Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Bird I Hear Your Drawl

Bird I hear your drawl
I hear your singing in a flowing stream
In brief I hear your happiness expressed.

I
I too once expressed that singing
I too once that happiness expressed.

But now
But now I languish in a wheel chair
And to me dusk and night come before their time
Thick and densified and still my Will holds
Holds
Holds.
