Bird Talk - Poem by Deepa Thomas

A lonely bird
Talked to me one day
About life, about love
About loss, about gain
I saw sorrow in her eyes
I wanted to share it

She told
Choose what you love wisely
‘Cause you are playing
At stakes so high
Involving your heart
Which is made of glass
With someone else having charge
Which he can crush
Or simply dropp it down…
