Birth Poem by John Griffiths

Birth

The time is now upon me,
To once again return,
From the realms that I resided,
To a place that I can learn.

I come down as an empty sponge,
To a life that I must live,
Absorbing all the lessons,
With the knowledge I can give.

The years start quickly rolling
From an infant to a lad,
Then, through the teenage years of fun,
Such a joyous time I had.

I’ve seen my children all grown up,
With children of their own,
And looking back with pride and joy,
At the seeds that I have sown.

When my learning span is over
And I reach my final day.
I will gather up the knowledge,
And move forward on my way.
