Birth Defects Poem by Hannah Lee Thomas

this world is full of deformities.
Many of them are caused by birth defects.
People with birth defects are often judged by how they look, how they act, and the world judges them for something they couldn't control. Birth defects are what makes us UNIQUE.
We have stories to tell, while everyone else just watches and waits.
We were born this way, we can't help it.
All we want is to be apart of this world, not being judged by how we look or act.
We will stand up and fight for what we deserve, and what we deserve.
Is EQUALITY!
