Birthday - Poem by SylvaOnyema Uba

That time of the year
When you behold
A celebration of birth

A recurring decimal event
Dressed like timeless time
Covered with yearly covenant of life

A boisterous building time when
Music climb to the air
Blast to crescendo

Cake decorated like rainbow
Covered with sweet swelling sugar of life

Heads of well wishers
Gather round the celebrant like bees

Triumphant voices open up
The birthday anthem
H-a-a-a-pp-y b-i-r-th d-ay

    A recurring decimal event.
As we all know birthdays happen every year.
