My loving elder brother,
Born of good father, mother,
Has now turned one year older –
That should not make him bother.
For, God controls one’s life-span;
You cannot add a day;
In His bidding must each man,
Do things aright, His way.
So, clasp the feet of Jesus;
Grasp His Holy Cross;
Walk in His every footstep;
Brood not over some loss.
Sun sets heralding new dawn;
The night brings newer day;
Life’s-storms will calm when just born;
Let faith grow, come what may!
‘Happy Birthday, dear Brother! ’
