Birthright - Poem by Rhona McFerran

We deny our CREATOR
when we deny
the truth
of our talents.

When we
blatantly refuse
to become
what HE
would have us be...

We sell our
birthright
for a pitiful porridge
of selfish interests
and meaningless
diversions-

What a sad
sorry substitute
for the glory
HE would share.
