Bitter Poem by Lauren Coltrain

Bitter

It's worse than falling and scraping your knee
It's worse than breaking your arm
If you ask me what's worse than dying
I'll tell you, it's a broken heart
With a broken heart you can't recover
It's not so easily done
When one person breaks your heart
You can't trust anyone
The days grow longer
The nights are darker
You feel your heart turning to stone
But believe me when I say this
In this cruel world, you're not alone
Everyone has their burdens to bear
We all have secrets we hide
we have all lost someone
We have all been victims of lies
When someone breaks your heart
I can say you're not in for much fun
We're all looking for something better
We're all bitter over someone
