Black Stripes. Poem by Tom Allport

Black Stripes.

I got a secondhand suit
From a charity store
It's double breasted
The pants touch the floor
Coloured black stripes on navy blue
I wore it yesterday
To attend a job interview
I answered all their questions
They said they'd let me know
I won't build my hopes up
But I do need the dough.
