Black Woman Poem by Rue Palmer

Black Woman

In shadows of night, a radiant queen, her strength and grace
a sight to be seen, with skin like onyx, a deep, rich hue
she carries the world, her spirit so true, this is my black woman.

Her hair, a crown of coils and curls
a testament to the strength of her roots unfurls,
she rise above with un wavering pride, in the face
of adversity she wont be denied.

Her eyes like star in the midnight sky,
hold stories of resilence, of dreams that fly high
her laughter, a melody that warms the soul, in her
presence broken hearts find their console.

With wisdom that passed down through the ages,
she writes her own history on lifes many pages,
a symbol of beauty, power, and grace, my black sister
spirit, and enduring embrace.

In every stride, in every word she imparts
shes a masterpiece of love, a work of art
in this world her worth is beyond measure,
a shout out to strength a boundless treasure..
