If I color my world in blackness
and I block out all the light -
If I hide inside my darkness
could you change it all to white?

If my heart is full of sorrow
If my tears - they fall like rain
Would you comfort me tomorrow
Could you take away this pain?

If I'm angry or just silent
Would you look into my mind
and bring me peace when I am quiet
and leave angry words behind?

Would you help me through the hard times
When my life just seems too rough?
Could you read between the lines sometimes -
So I don't have to be so tough?
