Mystic Poem by Sharon Ann M.

Mystic

In a somber, quiet graveyard
I asked once more, for Love,
A quarter to a tomb, I threw,
It clanked upon the stones of blue,
I waited for some wisdom - true,
An answer from the Gods above.

Then looking upwards to the sky,
Amongst bare branches, there appeared,
A Raven - Black and proud in flight,
A portent of a coming night,
Admidst the graves; Cold and contrite,
And all at once - My heart was cheered.

And at that sign, I thanked the Gods,
and walked the barren path towards home,
Renewed with hope - I went my way,
Yet, knowing I'd return someday,
To seek respite from some dismay,
To cast my woes amongst the tombs.
