Bladed Memory (2009) Poem by David Joel Rodriguez

Bladed Memory (2009)

Rating: 3.5

Such a lonely night in partial darkness
Not a human soul in sight but my own
Wind whistling against the creepy doors
Out squeaking mice and rats that linger
I started to ignore the cold spooky nature
Began to focus on the tip of my Calphalon
With the tip at the center of my forehead
Staring hard, cross-eyed revealing a letter
My selective hearing didn't last very long
My thoughts began to wander without me
So close to the edge of my pointy blade
When clouds decide to gleek at my face
I am sure I heard a bark in the distance
Trees laughing with their swaying leaves
Somewhere, water is slowly washing away...
Somewhere...washing away my bad thought
