Blank Pages Poem by michaeline coulter

Blank Pages

The paper stares back at me waiting for me to write
My pen flows endlessly into the night
Thoughts yet unspoken for others to see
Someone finally wants to listen to me
Words come to me one at a time
Nobody else's only mine
Years ahead of me yet untold
Memories to hang on to only mine to hold
The gifts that are given are mine to treasure
Writing comes easily and gives me pleasure
The feelings are mine and for me to give
They'll keep me going for as long as I live
The stories been written my pen starts to slow
I hope others read this so they to can know
What's hidden inside has now broken free
Just a little bit of words to get to know me
My pen stops now at last I lie down
I slip in to bed in my old nightgown
Peacful sleep i'll have tonight
I've said what I wanted and what felt right
