Blazing Flame Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

Blazing Flame

There is a war on, and we observe the news on TV.
I wonder why great men are blind so as not to see.
Feuds between countries fan the blazing flame.
Resolving conflict is the ultimate and total aim.

Sometimes, pointless Men in high-ranking positions.
Can create battles when they make severe decisions.
Bombarding, shelling, fighting, from the air and the land.
A white flag is invisible when power is in the wrong hand.

Peacemakers, unite from north to south all over the sphere.
Tell the whole nation we want peace and explain it clear.
For life is not to be taken by those who think they know best.
Living in harmony may never be, now is the time to give war a rest.
