Blazing Heart Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

Blazing Heart

*
Why must I write this poem?
Should I use Ink or blood?
Won't the tears tear the paper?
Won't the wails spoil the will?
But they shout,
They shout, Bamu, write.
*
Let me instead cry
Of the heart stolen,
Feelings ill tortured,
Dumped in the sea,
Torn apart and drained of blood,
What a hell of a vampire!
*
I will sing of the victimized soul.
I sorrowfully applaud you
For the mutilated thoughts,
And crippling the unpromising future,
In that you have given me notes
To start new,
And write a poem....
