Bleeding Eyelids Poem by Lance Carthen

Bleeding Eyelids

She screams through her cloud of cigarette smoke.
Deaths on the phone and Im starting to choke.
I look out the window, see hell passing by.
As the last demon passes Ill let out a sigh.
My makeups a coat of cherry flavored dope.
Each cut from a time when I thought there was hope.
Darling please...plant a seed for me.
Through my new eyes...Love I cannot see.
But we...could kiss on a cloud in heaven.
Drift away...in the lonely sea of tears.
Run naked through fields of broken glass.
Kill away all our comforts...
Embrace all our fears...
