Blessed Beyond Belief... Poem by Denis Martindale

There's a talented lady, whose name is Blessed Sheriff,
She can recite some poetry in ways beyond belief.

She savours every single word and lingers on each line,
To stay assured that words get heard, their meanings to define.

On poemhunter's website are poems here and there
And she brings out each insight in ways beyond compare.

So when I write new poetry, I imitate her style,
Reciting oh so slowly can often make me smile.

To emphasise the verses, one often reads again,
As if one still rehearses, improving now and then.

And second nature takes what's learned, absorbing what seems best,
As if the thoughts get overturned, and what's left has impressed.

The poet's talents aren't enough at every single stage,
So recitations add some love to text upon a page.

That's why great actors prove their worth reciting poems, too,
To bless the people of this Earth through poems old and new.

If poets took some extra time employing Grammarly,
There should be ways to bless each rhyme and line of poetry.

I've seen the lessons that get taught, changed phrases when I could,
To aid in each initial thought to make it understood.
