Blessing The Sabbath Lights Poem by Lewis Eron

Blessing The Sabbath Lights

It all began with light
And will end,
We pray,
With light
Darkness being the interlude,
We hope
Where we are
Not the beginning
Not at the end,
We pray.
And as not lose the way,
We close our eyes,
And bless the light,
And see the flame,
First within
Then without
Then all around
The beginning - the end - the now
For a moment at least
So we hope
So we pray
Today.
