*blind Love* Poem by Judy Alegria

*blind Love*

Rating: 3.0

His touch is so soothing.
His tongue is so amusing.
His rank just too appealing
To leave just because he’s cheating.

I’m in love with a perception,
Don’t want to hear about deception.
Let me only see perfection
Of his lying sweet affection.

His double life’s too hurtful,
All I am is wishful,
That one day he’ll turn out to be
What I’ve dreamed him up to be.

I see what he is doing
& see who he is wooing.
But I don’t want to be reminded
Of all things that I am blinded.

I know that I am smarter
But I suppose I’ll be the martyr.
My perception of him’s too appealing
To unfold my eyes & see him cheating.
