we are told to love, taught to fight
hated, abused, and stereotyped
taught peace, shown war
money, resources, taken and adored

so many lies, where the truth?
it is hiding?
or is right in front of you?
maybe the truth is taken away

we told everything will be okay
things get worse, day by day
deeper and deeper, hope fading away
darkness comes, light lives

lies, taken with ease
so many lies, they seem normal
the truth is new
each one causes a rumble

blind to the eye, visible by the soul
wisdom only comes to the old
sight fade away, then we see
the truth is real reality
