Blood Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Blood

There is so much chaos and turmoil,
Running rampant in the violent street,
Unfortunately, it is not really a surprise,
That there is so much blood at our feet.

Because of all this hatred,
No one dares to make a stand.
All of this separation and division,
Is putting blood on so many hands.

Because of the senseless violence,
So many people are being killed.
There appears to be no end,
To all this blood being spilled.

The conflicts now need to cease,
There should be no more strife.
We need to find a peaceful resolve,
So that this blood gives birth to life.

We can find peace among us,
If we set our differences aside.
Even though we may be different,
We all still bleed red inside.
