Blood From The Blade Poem by Ricardo Flores

Blood From The Blade

Rating: 4.0

I saw the blood,
the blade was facing you.

Your body was white as snow,
surrounded by blood.

Just as if you had drowned,
but in the river of red.

No one was around to save you,
it was not possible to save you from yourself.

Your body stood on the ground,
still coughing up blood from your veins.

It was obvious,
you were finally at sleep.

You wanted to get away from pain,
but their was something you had not realized.

It had broken our hearts,
you had not realized it would hurt us.

The pain is still here,
I feel it every day.
