Bloodletting And Kulmandu Poem by Sandra Osborne

Bloodletting And Kulmandu

It was Concrete Blonde,
But I didn’t know that then.
And I didn’t know
That It was the vampire song,
That it was “Bloodletting”.
Then, it was Anna and Koolmandu.
Then, I was raptured.

And,
It was simply,
The best damn live performance
That I have ever seen,
Even if it was in a barn loft,
With a bunch of hay bales,
And as hot as an Alabama summer ever was.

I now have all of the “Blond”
And with songs like
Joey, Tomorrow Wendy,
Still in Hollywood, Probably Will,
Caroline, Walking in London,
And a Texas Ladies Man,
I will always be a Johnette groupie.

But mostly,
It was magical, that day with Koolmandu, Anna,
And company. I can still hear them jamming,
And busting it out. I still get chills.
It was simply,
The best damn live performance
That I have ever seen.

I am Anna, and I miss my friend so very, very much. I still sing for her.
