Bloody Dismemberment Poem by Hillary Slosky

Bloody Dismemberment

Drip, drip, drip
The blood slowly falls to the floor.
The deep gashes gushing,
As you stood above me laughing.
Still echoing in my head are your last words,
Never being able to forget
As I watch you pulling me apart,
But not being able to feel the pain.
Limb, by limb, by limb,
My fingers, my hand my arm.
I shouldn’t still be alive.
I’d scream but my tongue is crushed beneath my foot.
Your maniacal laughter filled the room,
As we were both drenched in my blood.
I laid motionless upon the floor,
Without arms, without legs,
Without a way to pull away.
Finally you took my head in your hands,
And ripped it from my neck,
Tossing it into the pile,
Of my other bloody limbs.
