I once wrote you a note,
You smiled and wrote back
Across the white paper
I said I’d be here
Until the day you didn’t want me.
Your reply made a smile cross my lips,
When you said forever was a long time.
I once wrote you a poem,
Saying that I would always love you.
Your eyes lit up as you took me in your arms.
You promised then you wouldn’t leave,
And I believed you,
And responded with a kiss.
I once wrote you a letter,
You cried softly as you heard it,
Even with her on your arm.
You looked down at me lying on the floor,
A pool of blood still collecting around my head.
Etched into my wrist was that fateful note,
“I’ll be here until the day you don’t want me.”
