Blowing Kisses To The Moon Poem by Neil Graham Marsden

Blowing Kisses To The Moon

Silently imagined faces fade into
the next relentless waking day.
As you lie softly sleeping
in your somewhere cots,
I see you, feel you, touch your
presence through the void.

Beyond those countless terraces
you breathe your milk-warm breath,
across these pointless endless miles
I hear you, smell you,
taste your lips on mine.

But now ten thousand frantic hands
will weave this tangled mesh of pain
around my crumbling heart.
Away from sight, away from touch
locked outside of love you lie
