Blue Lotus Petals Poem by EU STRESS

Blue Lotus Petals

Beside the steaming hot spring,
Down the icy river’s gushing flow,
I strew blue lotus petals
Inscribed in blood and tears.

One by one
I set them afloat the Beas,
With a single hope.

Perhaps
Down the river’s course
Standing upon some other bank
Like me,
You would pick them up
One by one,
And read them as relics
Bearing inscriptions
Of my heart’s silent desires.
Unspoken, unheeded.
