Blue Skies And Rainbows Are Faded Grey Poem by Her Name Is Taylor

Blue Skies And Rainbows Are Faded Grey

Rating: 5.0

The day is warm with a sweet sun
Yet, all I feel is his rejection
The sky is nice and the clouds are pretty pink
Yet, jealousy is the only feeling that sinks
The love from my friends and family are clear
But the only thing I see are my own selfish tears

His Love and Mercy is brightening the day
And I still can’t feel anything, not today
And then a storm comes from above,
And I know they are raindrops of love
To wash away my tears, and take away my fears
But I still can’t see, and I am slowly struggling
To ignore the Rainbow that comes after the rain
And I ignore God’s Love, and feel my own pain

i am her to confess; what you wrote here speaks straight to my inner man i ignored God and his love ever since 2001 i shunned away from preachings and going to church but this takes me back to what i am running away from. above all nice piece of writing.

I really like how you combined the story of God and the rainbow with the essence of lost love......great job: p
