Blue Sky Promise Poem by C.F. Wilkins

Blue Sky Promise

Don't doubt, have faith when
Dark clouds hover in vain.
In vain because Christ will
Protect upon the ghastly main.

Upon the ghastly main of
Stormy waves of life's trials,
O' saint of God faint not when
Buffeted by the tempter's wiles.

By the tempter's wiles sometimes
Waves look high and grim.
But look to Christ by faith and trust
Your hand and heart to Him.

Hand and heart to Him like Peter
When Jesus walked on the sea.
The storm can't overcome you, saint,
When in your sight it's Jesus you see.

It's Jesus you see by faith when
He is Savior and Lord of your life.
He saves, comforts and protects you...
And bears you from trouble and strife.

From trouble and strife under dark sky
Jesus Christ will bring you through.
He rebukes the wind, calms the waves
And the dark sky becomes clear blue.
