Bodhi Tree Of Life
Under the Bodhi Tree of Life,
Waiting with closed Eyes
The heart full of Light,
For a glass of water from the
Hands full of Love and care,
For a village girl chasing moths
Or searching for her domestic beast,
The Sun is setting with His last gleam,
The evening stars blink with mystery,
Between the leaves the whispering breeze,
Under the serene tree of Life,
With no songs of nestling,
Far from the feast of life's Primogeniture,
I wait with the last spark of luminous intensity,
For a soul pure and wild
with no choice of day and night,
An innocent daughter of western Sky,
The faded light to witness a soul's departure.
Under the Bodhi Tree of Life
I am waiting for a village girl,
Appurtenant sprite with no aim in life,
A soul with the fancy of vagrant purity,
I will wait with hopeless Hope
to be fed and nurtured
with so vast a heart,
Era my soul leaves the fragile abode.
